Violin Lessons in the Morecambe / Lancaster Area
Deirdre Ward is an internationally trained violinist with over 30 years performing & teaching experience. Whatever your level - complete beginner, improver or expert - Deirdre believes that getting the best quality violin lessons possible will make a huge difference in learning a string instrument like the violin or viola.
Lessons are adapted to the individual needs of each student. They vary in length from 30 minutes for a child beginner to 60 minutes for an improver or adult. Payment is made at each lesson after which the next lesson is arranged. This allows flexibility for everyone. Book a consultation lesson now to find out how you too can benefit from professional violin lessons.
Regular weekly or two-weekly violin or viola lessons work well for school age students. Adult students sometimes appreciate a more flexible arrangement to suit their differing needs. As well as offering useful tips on orchestral and chamber music repertoire, Deirdre loves helping to solve technical problems and challenges with their playing.
Whatever your goal - passing grade exams, playing in an amateur orchestra or just the delight of discovering new skills - Deirdre can help!
Deirdre's students frequently achieve distinction in their ABRSM grade exams and have won numerous prizes in local competitions such as the Jim Noble Award for the best overall performer at the Mary Wakefield Westmorland Festival in the last two competitions (2015 & 2017). Many of her former violin students are now professional musicians themselves in top orchestras and chamber music groups around the world.
